My initiation in touring sailing.
Met Volker mooring in Borgholm when I visited the harbour. I was very curious about sailing. We chatted and he invited me to join him his trip to Färjestaden, the next leg in his long-distance sailing trip in the Baltic Sea.
I was at the helm most of the time and felt like a sailor. Wheel steering and autopilot.
Volker had an extremely relaxed and friendly attitude. He explained everything that I wanted to know, made me feel comfortable and confident.
Poor Kira did not enjoy the trip so much. She lay on the plastic floor with nothing to hold on to, and she could not see much. I knew that I need a catamaran if I want to sail with her.
